If you’re a woman looking at this you’re prolly really pissed right now. If you’re a man with some good judgement, you should be too. If milk could talk, it would retract this Ad.
This disgrace of an Ad @stephanienour tweeted this morning calls for the re-invigoration of the Open Letter To Men I wrote back in December.

This campaign was launched with a simply amazing funny & delightful site

If you go over the whole thing, it’s quite impressive & awesome.
I am a woman and looking at the communication and digital creative made me laugh so hard. Shared the link around the office & friends. It triggered a funny conversation at lunch & women agreed with the content on the ads and site.
We women tend to make a whole lot of puffiness about our period cycles. So we PMS, yell, think about using the hammer, cry when happy, cry when sad and become bossy or sad. But at least give men, us and the brand the credit to find some fun, logic and a whole of sense from it. Men in this campaign are projected as shallow, naive & insensitive little rats, so if you come to think of it- they should be insulted not us ;-). And let’s be frank, we do become intolerable & impatient. And yes Milk does reduce the signs & symptoms of PMS 😉 and PMS = bitchiness …
Poor men I say..
Lucky us for having the excuse to bitch more then one day…

I actually think it’s pretty sweet and funny! Even if one has feminist tendencies, it shouldn’t be ignored that we do enormously change when we’re PMSing and we do become somewhat intolerable. And it’s not like the guy in the ad is handling it the wrong way, on the contrary he’s out of his way to make his woman happy (and in turn make himself happy ha!).
They did take the PMS issue to extremes, but that’s where you have to go to get a point across and to be funny.
Am sorry but I’m not offended 🙂

I am conflicted about this. A part of me finds it funny because I suffer in presence of some of my female friends. They can be quite unbearable. At the same time, the other part finds it sort of offensive.

If anything is be offensive about the ad, it’s that it’s lame. In general though, some self-deprecation is always fun – whether it’s about PMSing, balding, EDing, or menopausing. Let’s not get all “pissed” about a lame ad.

Yeah um..not really sure if I would call this funny..but it is the best thing that a milk company can do!
