I remember the first time I got my makeup done professionally. I felt like a lab hamster under a scrutinizing white lamp while a beautician painted a mask on my face. It was also the first time I had tried on fake lashes. I was so proud at first; fluttering my eyes at every chance I got, until my friend suddenly began to scream and point to my face at what seemed like some sort of creepy crawler. It was too late. We both created a big scene at the party, only to quickly realize my lashes were shedding. I made more bad decisions that night as I attempted to rip out the rest of the faux lashes in the ladies room; I ended up plucking out my own which took what seemed like forever to grow back.
I’ve steered clear from false lashes ever since. Until I received a precious little package in the mail a couple of weeks ago. “Fibre Lash ,Brush on False Lashes.” How could it be? False lashes, in a bottle… sans the glue and potential drama?
So I hesitantly followed the three listed steps, one coat of the mascara, one coat of lash fibres, and a final round of mascara… et Voila! My lashes were instantly elongated (almost three times their regular size) leaving my eyes looking whimsically larger-than life. These kit has been an integral part of my beauty regimen ever since.
Here’s the thing- these are actually false lashes, but the folks over at Model Co have managed to revolutionize this process by putting tiny fibre agents in a bottle, so instead of going through the tenuous process of sticking strands on lash-by-lash, you simply brush them on. Even better you can just take them off with makeup remover. Model Co Fibre Lash retail for $50 and they deliver straight to your door- and yes, even to Lebanon 😉
