I spend most of my time running from one meeting to the next. And for a while now I’ve been looking for that everyday foundation that won’t melt off my face as the temperatures rise and most importantly one with coverage I can actually control.
I’m not one of those girls that piles up the makeup and there is nothing I hate more than that cakey powdery look so I’ve steered away from compacts most of the time until I got my paws on Bobbi Brown’s latest Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation. I’ve actually visited the Bobbi Brown stand at ABC Department store Lebanon a couple of times after seeing the lovely Katie Holmes wearing this foundation in their latest online campaign but during my 5 visits I was told it hadn’t arrived to Lebanon yet so I couldn’t wait any longer and got a friend to pick it up from Dubai for me. It cost around $60.
Although Bobbi Brown refers to it as a liquid foundation I think it falls more on the creamy side, somewhere between a liquid and compact. Its name pretty much sums it up, it blends super easily and depending on the tool you use to apply it so it can look sheer or can cover pretty much everything you want it to. I was really surprised when I found out it has a perfectly matte finish, which I LOVE!
I also appreciated that it comes with a little hidden sponge that you can pull out for those last minute touch ups though I’m not a fan of how much sponges can soak up product and there’s not much of it, so every bit counts. But I’ve been also experimenting a lot with makeup lately and I very recently discovered how much I like putting on foundation with a brush for those big nights out.
Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation comes in 20 different shades, this one is in Natural and it works perfectly on my skin tone. I also noticed that it’s actually oil-free so I know a lot of you would appreciate that.
But my absolute favorite thing about this foundation is that you can actually wear it alone without looking like you’ve got a mask on waiting your turn at the makeup artist’s lounge. Definitely worth the wait and effort!

There is an alternative to the bobbi brown that you can find in lebanon…i had the same problem as u with foundations but then i found the max factor miracle touch liquid illusion foundation. It has the same texture and effect as the one you are describing
