At the heart of the old souk in Jounieh lies one of the chillest new spots in town, Punta Del Este, a Peruvian Argentinean restaurant/pub. But this place is a little different from your average venue. From the folks who brought you Dragon Fly and Pacifico, Punta Del Este, is situated right by the seaside, with a turquoise pool in the centre surrounded by a relaxing lounge area and chaise lounges overlooking the bay.
I find that one has to usually choose between going to the beach or having a real quality cocktail, so I usually stick to beers, spirits or hard liquor with mixers; but not here. The cocktails are off the hook, from Ruby Reds, CAIPIROVAs and original Margaritas this place provides you with the perfect setting to get typsy and work on a tan simultaneously. To top it all off, they serve flavorful authentic South American dishes to really get you in the mood before letting loose to some serious Latin beats.
But the best part of it all: Happy Hour of course! So for all those of you who’ve had enough of your typical beach settings, check this little treasure out, whether you’re in the mood for some after work-cocktails or weekend outdoor fun.
We had the delish provolone stuffed warm empanadas that came with two marvelous dips, rosé and fresh pesto.
A combination of pané shrimp, calamari, octopus accompanied with three diverse dips, cocktail, tartar and my all-time favorite hot and spicy sauce.
And we washed them down with the one and only original unbeatable Margarita.
Service: slightly rusty- but will get there eventually.
Price: Dinner for two with drinks 130,000LL- 170,000LL
Happy hour drinks and appetizers for two: 85,000LL
Verdict: ALL IN!

I went there yesterday. The service was really bad and my frozen margarita tasted barely like lemonade, it was really disappointing because the place is nice and I liked the music.
