Ivy Says x Adidas Festive Fitness

Who said running shoes can’t sparkle too?

Just in time for the holiday season adidas Originals have once again teamed up with Rita Ora for the F/W2015 to bring a monochrome palette with lots of vibrant contrasts. This has to be my favorite favorite collaboration to date, I still can’t get over my S/S15 Superstar 80s sneakers which I wear religiously you can check out the full shoot here.

As you know I’m lucky enough to view and receive pieces from the collection before they hit stores and this time I fell for this glittery tweed version of the ZX Flux. As you can tell they have the soul of an iconic adidas runner from the ’80s with a whole new look. I absolutely love how the ZX Flux has evolved throughout the years while still preserving it’s original DNA. It’s minimal yet trendy, it’s available in some incredible prints, and you don’t have to run to wear it.

In fact, I styled my ZX Flux with a regular silky Zara top and plain black track pants but then I threw on this statement metallic blazer from a Paul and Joe and my black Saint Laurent Sac Du Jour. It’s comfortable, stylish and festive.

I’m very excited to finally announce my Spring/Winter 2015 collaboration with Adidas. It’s no secret it’s always been my favorite brand and my entire work out gear has forever been exclusively from Adidas. Well now it’s official, this year I’m so proud to be chosen to showcase their latest collections even before they hit stores! But it’s not just Adidas sports outfits I’ve chosen but everything from their Originals collection some of which are designed by Rita Ora and Jeremy Scott.

So join me in this new IvySaysxAdidas adventure in my journey towards fashionable fitness and general well-being. You can catch the looks first on my Instagram account.

For my first look I chose this Brazilian patterned zip up jacket from their Originals collection with a matching bowling bag. Now although I don’t usually play matchy matchy I loved this pattern so much I made an exception, and it worked. Because it’s such bold color the pair made for fabulous Spring statements.

Lebanese Summer Countdown- 9 Tips To Get Fit

So your New Year resolutions are a distant dream by now. You were supposed to quit smoking (even socially), become a regular at the gym ( a 15 min sprint on the treadmill doesn’t count )and most importantly eat healthy ( even during work hours)

It’s March and you’re still hung-over from the weekend. Your mind kept telling you to get that salad for lunch but every cell in your stomach was screaming for grease, so you ordered Fern Tony’s  Deluxe Burger . Your co-workers watched you gobble that beast down as they fiddled with their rice and spinach. But you’re back at your desk now, about to participate in some serious self-loathing wondering how you got here.  Knowing that within mere months, the hot and sexy gym busy-bees of this country will be ready to flaunt their combos of six packs, pectorals, biceps and what not while you’ll be struggling to stop yourself from ordering a bottle of extra-chilled rose by the beach.

Snap out of it; get a hold of yourself and enough with the procrastination.  I’ve come up with a couple of pointers to keep you satisfied but slick this season.

1)      Eat breakfast and get full, it’s the oldest trick in the book but it actually works wonders.  And no, that doesn’t mean indulging in some fried eggs and bacon, but a healthy whole wheat pita bread with some labneh, cucumber and olives , or turkey and cheese with some lettuce. Wash it down with a sweet fruit-but bar or perhaps a handful or almonds and raisins.
