According to ShowbizSpy those  two have known each other for years but the timing was never right. When she heard he was single again she decided to make her move on the night of the SAG Awards.

“Kate’s always had a thing for Justin, and after reading that his romance with Jessica Biel is over, she’s decided to make her move,” a source told the National Enquirer. “Kate flirted with Justin outrageously that night, and he was all over her,” the source adds. “They exchanged numbers in the green room.”

Martini: I’m a  stylish single girl and this drink is the missing accessory to my already trendy well-thought out outfit.

Wine: I’m traditional and classic, I’m French educated, my country makes some damn good wine so why not go local.

Pink Wine ( Rosé): I want to party on some roof-top overlooking the coast, this bottle looks so good, comes in a champagne glass  and only costs LL30,000. 

Jack and Coke:  Don’t mess with me, I’ll hurt you, I drive a BMW and I’ll probably spend the night in the club, NOT dancing.

Vodka Red Bull: Wal3any Ilayly ya man,  I go to AUB/ LAU, I have an early class ,I came with my dad’s car but will probably get so wasted I’ll have to go home with a friend.

Dou Dou Shot: I just broke up with my boyfriend, I don’t care what I do tonight, it doesn’t count I’m depressed.

Tequila Shot: My boyfriend cheated on me but he doesn’t know I know, so please take advantage of me.

Champagne: I’m rich and I’m not afraid to show it, why not interrupt  everyone’s favorite song by changing the music to some 80′s music with cheap firecrackers. Hopefully they’ll put my name on the big screen!

Tip #5 Give him a flower!

Ok it just dawned on me thanks to Joelle’s comment, I vaguely remember hearing something about MP Nayla Tueni actually proposing to her husband on air by sending him flowers but I just can’t seem to find any photographic evidence. I mean what better than a flower to show him you like him? It can do most of the talking for you. I know, I know I’m getting really good at this ;P Ladies , if your going out tonight, give this a shot, let’s see if this works! Bisoux

Tip #4:   Give him your camera and ask him to take a pic of you and your friend.

This works for both girls and guys and its GENIUS ( if I must say so myself.)  It’s  one of the best conversation starters by far. He’ll take the pic and you’ll both look into your camera to discuss it et voila… your conversating!

I did it in broad daylight too! My friend and I met up at Indigo in Le Grey this new hotel  in downtown Beirut for our lunch breaks and there was quite the stunner sitting by us. Luckily I had my camera on me! He took two pics of us and when I saw it I went ” oh no I’m so not photogenic” and he was like ” what are you taking about your very pretty.” I asked him to join us and he did, with his friend.

Tip# 3:  Drop a Hint

I met a guy I’ve been crushing on for a while at Zinc last night. ( NO thank god he didn’t see me in the boy’s loo.)  He’s a friend of a friend that I randomly  run into like once a month.  For some reason I’ve always felt kinda intimidated by this guy cause he just doesn’t give me the time of the day.

Soooo…  I heard him saying something about this play in  Masrah AlMadina called Vitrine. I knew this was my opportunity so I look at him and go “ I’ve been dying to watch that play!” ( between me and you I haven’t heard of the thing before last night)  So he goes “really? I have an extra ticket my mom’s friend is running the show.” And there you have it folks, I just hinted my way through to a date. Will keep you posted on this one. Bisoux

So my girl Elsy tried the Tip #1 ”damsel in distress” approach of speaking to a guy and can safely say that it took 2 good strikes but it finally worked the third time!  The first time she pretended to drop her car keys, a really nice girl picked them up ( Elsy is straight), the second time the guy who works at the Saj place helped her and finally the third time around her target picked them up. She said the biggest challange was trying to conversate at the moment which he was handing her the keys. To Elsy’s surprise, the guy turned out to be with a cousin of one of her good friends and so the three of them went for a drink. Yeees Success!

Tip # 2 Don’t hang out in packs. A guy is more likely to approach you if your at the bar, ALONE.  A guy is less likely to approach a girl if she were with a group of friends.

My friends and I are brainstorming ways a girl can get a guy to approach her or speak to her without having to make much of an effort.

Elsy had a fabulous idea. She’s gonna try this tonight. Its cunning but funny and I’m really curious to see if it will actually work.

Tip #1 : Act As Though Your In Distress

Example: drop something , like your phone ( or maybe not) a pen or hair clip or  something, and pretend like your struggling to retrieve it.  Of course this must be done when you spot your target.  Lets see if it works. Bisoux

Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl who is now married to musician Josh Kelley talks about how she waited for him to call her but couldn’t wait anymore so she went ‘Screw it, I’m going to call him.’ She ends up inviting him over to a friend’s place but he kept playng it really cool. She goes on to say “I had to really fight for him to like me as much as I liked him – but again, there’s a fine line between honest and desperate.”

This just goes to show that whether your a Hollywood starlet or a regular single girl in Beirut, you still gotta work hard to get Mr. Right. And I totally agree with what she says about honesty and downright desperation it sure is a  very thin line that must not be crossed indeed. Bisoux
