I couldn’t hold my excitement about Giorgio Armani’s Lip Maestro last year and dedicated an entire post just to review it. Since then I’ve been a big fan of a lot of this innovative makeup line with some of the most unique and suburb signature textures available today in the market. The inspiration behind it? The thinnest fabric in the world: organza! There are so many products I love but here’s a list of what in my opinion are this season’s 4 must-haves from Giorgio Armani makeup.
The Maestro Fusion Makeup SPF15
A super blendable highly pigmented liquid-like foundation which like many of the line’s textures, is one of the lightest and silkiest formulas you will come across. Why? Because it will also do what Armani makeup usually does, transform into a powder-like finish as soon as it sets and also come off marvelously matte.
Coverage is not medium at all, rather light and translucent, and that’s why it’s just so perfect for summer- there’s nothing tackier than melted foundation. It definitely wasn’t designed for our traditional face masking ways, but then again that’s why they don’t call it a foundation, so be prepared to layer up for more. Finally I’m a huge fan of the droplet applicator which allows more control on quantity, and the trendy glass bottle. If you’re skin tone is anything like mine then I suggest you go for the 05 shade.
Fluid Sheer
One of the hottest makeup trends this season is highlighted cheeks. If you’re looking to get that sculpted cheek look you see all over Instagram, then this illuminator is for you. I like to use it either alone on my cheekbones as a bronzer or blush, atop of my BB cream or foundation, or mixed with my foundation on my hand right before application. It blends so magically and gives your entire face this stunning radiance especially if your foundation is a matte one. I also like to apply some just at the tip of my nose to give it a more lifted look. It’s comes in so many shades that work for all season’s however I totally recommend the goldish tone in 04 shade for summer.
Eyes to Kill Classico
I have so many mascaras I love, but this is my favorite in the natural volume category-It’s no wonder this little darling as a bestselling award winner. I like it because it adds lots of length but mostly volume without making it look like you’ve got mascara on. It’s actually very smooth and makes lashes appear soft and fluttery and separated somehow- rather than grouped and sticky even though the formula isn’t that wet at all and more on vicious side. The bristle brush is not big or small, and designed for practical application. So it will complement a day look just perfectly, and will especially go nicely with the light Maesto Fusion foundation. I know we all have different expectations from our mascaras depending on the nature of our lashes, but I suggest you give it a try.
Lip Maestro
Although I love the 202 I reviewed here, my summer go-to shade is the 500 which is more of a rosey peach. The matte finish manages to make my lip taupe s look so plump yet somehow allows for super-moisture. It’s also one of the longest-lasting lip colors on the market- you have my word on that.
And there you have it- the 4 Must Have Items I recommend you get this season from Giorgio Armani beauty. I also happened to be invited to the Giorgio Armani Spring Summer 2015 Runway presentation last week and the team created a sandy nuanced look on me “inspired by the sea.” Eyes were smokey with deep taupe and pink-gold reflections a look that works just perfectly for this upcoming hot season. They all used all the items I listed above but kept the lips shiny. Hope you like it!
